When a buyer pays, funds are held in a dedicated escrow account — completely separate from EscrowApp's operating accounts. The seller has zero access until the transaction is completed.
Cryptographic proof
Every action — payment, shipment, receipt, dispute — gets a cryptographic signature tied to the actor's identity and timestamp. Nothing can be altered after the fact.
Dispute resolution
Objective by design.
Most dispute systems ask "who do you believe?" EscrowApp's system asks "what does the evidence show?" The difference changes everything.
Evidence-based
Every dispute requires photographic evidence at the moment of delivery — not memories, not claims. Photos are timestamped and locked.
Criteria-based scoring
Arbitrators evaluate disputes against a fixed set of criteria, each with a defined point value. Overrides require written justification, permanently recorded.
Timebound
Every party has defined deadlines. Sellers have 3 days to respond. Arbitrators have 5 days to resolve. If deadlines are missed, the system takes automatic action.
Auto-escalation
No transaction gets stuck forever. If a dispute isn't resolved within 10 days, it automatically resolves in favor of the buyer and is flagged for senior review.
